50 hours yin, nidra, black roll TTC

Learn all about the importance of our fascia and connective tissue, its physiology and how to train and vitalise it correctly and efficiently!

If it comes to our well being flexibility is much more important than strength. Imagine sitting in a car and and not being able to look over your shoulder? Not being able to bend down and tie your shoes without pain. Unfortunately, in our modern society this is not an uncommon thing. Most people live under the misconception that it is mainly the muscles - yang tissue - that is responsible for our flexibility when in fact it is our connective tissue - yin tissue - which covers every muscle, every joint, every organ and determines our flexibility.

Yin yoga is a very meditative and passive form of yoga where seated and lying asanas are held for a minimum of 3 minutes to vitalise the fascia and connective tissue. Yet, different to restorative yoga it is a training and not relaxation. The goal of yin is to let go and to release not only all tensions in the physical body but also all mental and emotional stress to reconnect with your true nature.

Yoga nidra, the conscious sleep, helps to change the frequency of our brain waves and to extend the seldom state of alpha brain waves, a very healing and relaxing frequency.

The use of a black roll intensives the positive effects of yin.
